Convoy officially supports 8 drivers in a session. Since update 1.50 the dedicated server can take up to 128 if you raise g_max_convoy_size on the server and every driver raises it in their own game config. SCS does not officially support sessions that large, so expect the odd rough edge.
For a group of friends on the base map, the smallest plan is plenty. Memory and CPU start to matter once the convoy grows past the official 8 drivers or you load large map mods, so size up for a big community convoy. Upgrades are prorated and keep your server as it is.
Yes. With the mods and DLCs you want active, run export_server_packages in the American Truck Simulator console, upload the two files it writes through the file manager or SFTP, then restart the server. Everyone joining needs the same DLCs and mods installed on their side.
No. TruckersMP is a separate multiplayer mod that runs its own public servers, and nobody can host one of their own. Our servers run the official Convoy dedicated server from SCS, which is how you get a private session for your group.
